Iñigo Pérez says his team lacked finishing against Real Madrid

Iñigo Pérez said his team performed well against Real Madrid but did not finish its chances.

He felt a goal was close, yet his players lacked the accuracy needed to complete what he called a very strong performance.

Pérez praised the midfield, highlighting Juan Foyth’s role as a holding midfielder.

He said the setup helped his team compete in the center of the pitch and offered more passing options.

Pérez also said Real Madrid pressed effectively and made it difficult for his team to play out.

He described the tension late in the match as a normal part of a close contest between teams trying to win.

He said the team’s performance statistics could be reviewed later, but he was still focused on the match itself.
