SCO members hold joint counterterrorism exercise in Belarus

Security forces from Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member countries held a joint counterterrorism exercise in Minsk, Belarus.

They practiced sharing intelligence and responding to attacks, including hostage-taking, bomb threats and attacks using drones.

Belarus hosted the exercise for the first time since joining the organisation.

The drills aimed to improve how the countries work together against terrorism and other security threats.
