Apple reportedly plans HomeView smart home hub for November

Apple reportedly plans HomeView smart home hub for November

Apple is expected to unveil HomeView, a smart home display, at its “Welcome Home” event on October 13.

The device is designed to act as a command center for an Apple-powered home, with Siri as its main way to control it.

It is expected to come in a countertop version with a speaker base and a wall-mounted version.

HomeView will reportedly run on an A18 chip and offer a limited selection of Apple apps, without access to the App Store.

Apple is also expected to introduce a new Apple TV with an A19 chip and a refreshed HomePod mini with an S10 chip.

Those two products are expected to go on sale on October 30, while HomeView is expected to ship around mid-November.

Apple and partner companies are also preparing smart home accessories, but LG’s products are not expected to ship until later this year at the earliest.
