Trump announces US-Russia diesel deal, drawing criticism from Ukraine

Trump announced that Russia would send diesel to the US and other markets.

Ukraine’s president said he was surprised and called the deal unfair to Ukraine.

A US official said the move followed Ukraine’s continued attacks on Russian refineries, which the official said were raising US fuel prices.

The dispute adds strain to ties between the US and Ukraine.
