F1 Singapore Grand Prix exempts drinks from 10-cent container deposit

Singapore’s container return scheme started fully on Oct 1, shortly before the Grand Prix.

The event has an exemption, so visitors will not pay a 10-cent deposit on eligible drinks sold inside the Circuit Park.

Instead, they should put empty containers in the park’s recycling bins.

The scheme normally lets people reclaim deposits by returning eligible bottles and cans at designated points.
