Danny Boyle says AI was used to recreate Margaret Thatcher in ‘Ink’

Danny Boyle said the team used AI to put Margaret Thatcher’s face on an actor rather than use an impersonator.

He said he chose not to seek permission from Thatcher’s estate because he believes artists should be free to explore her influence.

Boyle also warned that powerful technology companies could make it harder for journalists to hold power to account.
