Italy approves a standard form for short-term tourist rentals

Italy has approved one standard form for people reporting short-term or tourist rentals that are not run as a business.

Before, regions and municipalities used different forms and procedures.

The form asks for information about the property and declarations that it meets safety and building rules.

It does not legalize building violations, but the shared process is intended to improve checks and reduce illegal rentals.
