Apple skin adds fiber, but washing the fruit is recommended
An apple’s skin contains fiber and plant compounds, so peeling removes some of them.
Eating the fruit peeled is still an option.
Wash apples under running water before eating or cutting them to remove dirt, microbes and surface residues.
Washing cannot remove residues that have penetrated deeper into the skin.
