Warriors to assess Kristaps Porzingis after two-week medical absence

Golden State Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis has been away from the team for two weeks because of a private medical issue.

He missed all of training camp, and the team has not said when he might play again.

On Tuesday, he is due to meet with the Warriors’ sports medicine and performance staff in San Francisco.

His teammates will be in Las Vegas for a preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The staff will assess him and try to establish a timeline for his return.

Porzingis has dealt with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome over the past two years, but the team has not said whether it is linked to this absence.

His absence leaves a gap in a Warriors lineup that is already thin ahead of the 2026–27 regular season.
