Galatasaray reportedly close to signing KJ Simpson

Galatasaray is reportedly finalizing a deal with KJ Simpson, a 24-year-old American point guard.

The Istanbul club is looking to fill a vacant guard position and strengthen its team for the Basketball Champions League.

Simpson most recently played for the Denver Nuggets and has appeared in 56 NBA games; a move to Galatasaray would be his first career move overseas.

The club is off to a difficult start, with a 0–1 record in its Champions League group and a 1–2 record in Turkey’s domestic league.

Galatasaray also parted ways with head coach Gianmarco Pozzecco on Monday, adding to a period of change for the team.

An official announcement is expected soon, and the club’s upcoming games are described as critical to improving its results.
