Shai Gilgeous-Alexander becomes Atlético Madrid shareholder

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, a star player for the Oklahoma City Thunder, has invested in Atlético Madrid.

The Spanish football club confirmed he is now one of its shareholders.

It did not say how much of the club he owns.

The move connects a leading basketball player with a major European football club.
