Israeli study links joint molecules to human brain flexibility
Researchers at the Weizmann Institute say human ancestors had fewer glycosaminoglycan molecules in their joints than apes.
They say this change was linked to greater neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to adapt.
The study connects changes in joints with a difference in how the human brain can change.
