Mexico City has several themed running events scheduled from Oct.

17 to 31, linked to Halloween and the Day of the Dead season.

The races will take place at locations including Chapultepec Forest, Xochimilco, Tláhuac and Aragón Forest.

Most offer 5- or 10-kilometer routes, while La Ruta de los Muertos on Oct.

25 offers 9- and 21-kilometer distances.

Events include night runs inspired by La Llorona, the axolotl and traditional calaca imagery.

Entry fees start at 350 pesos and reach 699 pesos for Calacas On The Run; prices may change depending on when people register and whether places remain.
