Olivia Wilde Could Become the First Woman Oscar-Nominated for Directing Herself

Olivia Wilde directed and stars in “The Invite,” a film drawing attention from audiences and awards voters.

No woman has been nominated for an acting Oscar for a film she directed herself.

Men have received 20 such nominations.

If Wilde is nominated, she could become the first woman to do it.
