Pedestrian seriously injured in alleged hit-and-run east of Brisbane

A man in his 50s was hit by a ute in Ormiston, east of Brisbane.

He suffered chest, pelvic and arm injuries and was taken to hospital, where he was in stable condition.

The driver left the scene before emergency services arrived.

Police want witnesses or anyone with relevant information to contact them.
