SALIC transfers National Grain Co. ownership to SABIL in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s SALIC has transferred ownership of National Grain Co.

to SABIL, its subsidiary that supplies grain.

SALIC, which is owned by the Public Investment Fund, acquired the remaining 50% stake in National Grain Co.

to take full ownership before the transfer.

SABIL manages the country’s strategic wheat reserve and its network of silos and storage facilities, as well as grain handling and distribution.

National Grain Co.

brings experience sourcing grain internationally, supplying grain and animal-feed inputs, and serving local markets.

The companies are expected to work together to expand the range of commodities SABIL covers and help meet local needs.

National Grain Co.

will remain a separate legal entity, wholly owned by SABIL.

The change is part of SALIC’s effort to connect its international sourcing with Saudi Arabia’s domestic supply and logistics, supporting continuity of supplies and food-security goals.
