Saudi Arabia Reports 6.5% Growth in Foreign Direct Investment

Saudi Investment Minister Fahd Al-Saif said foreign direct investment grew about 6.5% in the first half of 2026.

He spoke at a ministerial session on Saudi Vision 2030 during the World Petroleum Congress Energy event in Riyadh.

Al-Saif said investment continued to grow despite challenges facing the global economy.

He credited the country’s sustained fiscal policy with giving investors confidence to make long-term decisions.

He also said foreign investment in vital sectors grew by about 160%, though he did not specify the period for that figure.

Overall investment in Saudi Arabia has doubled since 2015, according to Al-Saif.

The figures matter because they indicate continued efforts to attract overseas capital as part of economic reforms and diversification under Vision 2030.

No further steps or plans were specified.
