AK Party spokesperson says fund fraud claims will be investigated

Ömer Çelik, a spokesperson for Turkey’s ruling AK Party, said authorities would investigate fund fraud allegations, whoever is involved.

He said people found guilty would have to pay, and the state would not cover the losses.

He also accused opposition figures of turning the case into a political attack and said his party would resist what he called a smear campaign.
