The War and Treaty to receive inaugural Origins Vanguard Award

The War and Treaty will receive the inaugural Origins Vanguard Award at the 2026 Origins Impact Awards.

The husband-and-wife duo, Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, work across country, Americana, soul and roots music.

The award recognizes artists shaping country music and opening doors for others through their influence and impact.

The Nashville-based Origins Music Group announced finalists in 18 categories, including Breland, Blanco Brown, K. Michelle and Nappy Roots.

The finalists reflect a wide range of country music styles and artists, according to the organization’s CEO and co-founder, Corey Jones.

The ceremony is set for November 19 at Nashville’s Woolworth Theatre and will include live performances, special presentations and appearances by artists and industry leaders.
