Canadian childhood vaccination rates remain below levels needed for population immunity
Fewer children in Canada are getting routine vaccines than before the pandemic.
The report found that 85.3% of two-year-olds had received measles, mumps and rubella vaccines, while about 95% coverage is needed to limit measles spread.
Low vaccination rates can leave communities more exposed to outbreaks.
Barriers include vaccine concerns, difficulty accessing care and practical challenges for families.
