LS Cable plans nuclear cable production at its North Carolina plant
South Korea’s LS Cable plans to add nuclear cable production at its US unit’s plant in Tarboro, North Carolina.
The company says the move will expand its North American power infrastructure business beyond overhead transmission lines.

LS Cable’s US unit plans to seek the required certifications and work with South Korean nuclear companies to enter the local supply chain.
Demand may also come from replacing aging cables at existing plants.
The company has not given a timetable for installing the equipment or completing certification.
