SPD lawmaker says Schröder could help open talks with Putin

Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

SPD lawmaker Ralf Stegner says Schröder still has access to Putin and could help create a path for talks.

Stegner hopes any contact might bring the sides closer to a ceasefire.

The visit also drew criticism from other German politicians.
