Underwater is streaming on Prime Video

Underwater is a 2020 science-fiction horror film now streaming on Prime Video.

It takes place in 2050 at a research station deep in the Mariana Trench.

After an earthquake damages the station, engineer Norah, played by Kristen Stewart, and other crew members try to escape.

They must move through damaged corridors and the dark ocean while wearing diving suits.

Strange sea creatures threaten the survivors along the way.

The film focuses on survival and isolation, with a story that draws on ideas associated with H.P. Lovecraft’s ocean monsters.

The crew’s escape is the central struggle.
