‘Brinda Vihari’ release moved to November 20 to avoid box-office clash
‘Brinda Vihari’, a Kannada musical love story starring actor Ganesh, will now open worldwide on November 20 instead of October 16.
The change was announced at a pre-release event in Hubballi.
The makers said they did not want the film to compete with ‘Premada Oorali’, a Kannada film by newcomers that is doing well in cinemas.
They said a clash could take screens and audiences away from that film.
The decision comes as Kannada cinema is facing a shortage of box-office hits.
Director Srinivasa Raju said the team wanted to plan a proper theatrical release, with several newcomers involved in the film.
The film is now scheduled to open on November 20.
