Baby Sleep Gripe Water Recalled After Alcohol Found in Testing

Pacific Health Sciences is recalling one lot of Babies' Magic Tea brand Baby Sleep Gripe Water, sold in 4-ounce bottles.

The affected lot is 25122bw, with a best-before date of December 2028.

The product was distributed to Secrets of Tea and sold online, including through its website and Amazon.

FDA testing found ethanol, methanol and isopropanol in the product, although none was listed on the label.

The company warned that exposure could cause drowsiness, poor coordination, behavioral changes, nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain, and that larger amounts could cause more serious harm.

No adverse events linked to the recalled lot had been reported to the company as of the recall notice.

Anyone who bought it should stop using it and throw it away or return it for a refund; people with symptoms should seek medical attention and contact Pacific Health Sciences.
