Delhi High Court grants Vijay Deverakonda interim protection from AI deepfakes

The Delhi High Court has temporarily protected actor Vijay Deverakonda’s name, image, voice and other personal traits from unauthorised use.

The order covers identified posts and videos, including AI-generated or digitally altered material.

Some platforms and services have 72 hours to act on specified links and domains.

The court did not ban using the word “Rowdy” by itself, but said pairing it with a manipulated image of the actor could breach the protection.
