Denmark plans to let teachers restrain disruptive students from 2027

Currently, Danish teachers can use force only when someone or school property is at risk.

A proposed law would let them hold or move students who seriously disrupt lessons or harass others.

The change is planned to start in August 2027.

It would give teachers more ways to manage disruption, but it changes rules that have limited force in schools since 1967.
