ILO and Switzerland provide Rp584.3 billion in support to Indonesian small businesses
The ILO and Switzerland helped 25,378 Indonesian small businesses access Rp584.3 billion in financing and formal savings.
The support is part of Promise II Impact, a program backed by Switzerland since March 2023 to improve small firms’ access to financial services.
It also provided business training to more than 2,300 entrepreneurs, 40 percent of them women.
The program combines financing, business skills and digital tools in supply chains for dairy in West Java, patchouli oil in Aceh and seaweed in East Nusa Tenggara.
Its projects linked farmers with buyers and lenders, and helped patchouli producers export 32 tons of oil worth Rp30 billion.
The next phase will expand the program to coffee in Lampung and extend work on patchouli and dairy in other regions.
It will also add digital systems and financial wellness standards, aiming to support more sustainable livelihoods and stronger local businesses.
The International Labour Organization and the Swiss Government facilitated Rp584.3 billion in financing and formal savings for 25,378 Indonesian micro, small and medium enterprises.
