JPMorgan says iPhone 18 Pro demand is above last year’s level
JPMorgan analysts say demand for Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max is slightly higher than demand for last year’s Pro models.
Apple launched the Pro phones in September, while the standard iPhone 18 is due early next year.
Some customers may be waiting for that standard model, which is usually the most popular.
The analysts say reported component order cuts are a typical adjustment after a major launch, not necessarily a sign of weak demand.
They forecast iPhone revenue will fall by 2% because the standard iPhone 18 is not yet available.
They also say the iPhone 17 Pro generation is still selling well, although Apple no longer sells it on its website.
Apple’s first foldable phone, called the iPhone Duo, is due to go on sale next week, and JPMorgan forecasts sales of about 8.5 million units by year-end.
