Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel closes for major renovation with no reopening date

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, the resort’s flagship hotel in Hong Kong, closed across the entire property on October 12 for a major renovation.

It had been renovating part of the building’s west side since June while remaining open.

Disney says the work is intended to improve the facilities, services and guest experience.

The hotel opened alongside the theme park in 2005 and is known for its Victorian-style design.

The renovation is expected to combine its classic look with new designs and story-themed touches, with movie-themed rooms given priority.

No reopening date has been announced, and the hotel’s restaurants are also closed during the work.

The resort’s other two hotels, Disney Explorers Lodge and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel, remain open as alternatives for visitors.
