Facebook lets users guide recommendations with “Your Algorithm”
Meta has launched Your Algorithm on Facebook, giving users a way to guide what appears in Feed and Reels.
Users can describe in their own words which topics and types of content they want to see more or less often.
They can also use options such as “Interested” and “Not interested” from a post’s menu to share feedback.
Meta says changes to preferences can affect recommendations in real time, and Facebook may ask follow-up questions to better understand users’ choices.
The feature is designed to make Facebook recommendations more relevant and give people more influence over content selected by automated systems.
Meta first introduced the feature on Instagram, and Threads has a related tool called “Dear Algo.”
The feature is now available on Facebook, though the sources do not specify what happens next.
Meta launched “Your Algorithm” on Facebook on October 13, 2026, giving users more control over content recommended in Feed and Reels.
Users can describe in natural language what they want to see more or less often.
The tool also lets users adjust preferences through post menus and “Interested” or “Not interested” options.
Meta says changes are reflected in recommendations in real time and may prompt follow-up questions.
The feature follows its introduction on Instagram and builds on Meta’s other personalization tools.
