Changwon to hold pet culture festival on November 14

Changwon, a city in South Korea's South Gyeongsang province, will hold its sixth pet culture festival on November 14.

The event is scheduled to run from 10 a.m.

to 4 p.m.

at Yongji Park in the city's Seongsan district.

The city has held the festival every year since 2021 to encourage communication between pet owners and people without pets, and to promote respect for animal life.

The city's animal protection centre will promote adoption of abandoned dogs and offer on-site animal registration.

Visitors can also get advice on dog health, try a CPR activity, and make pet treats or supplies.

Cat-related crafts and information about public feeding stations are also planned.

The festival's theme is about recognising pets' emotional signals.
