Ceiling collapse at Daegu supermarket injures 36
Part of the ceiling collapsed at a supermarket in Daegu’s Buk-gu district on October 10.
The accident injured 36 visitors, and nine were taken to hospital.
Reports said the injuries were not life-threatening.
The president, Lee Jae-myung, was briefed and told agencies to focus on rescue and handling the aftermath.
One report said all 66 visitors inside got out on their own.
Authorities planned to finish searching the site and then investigate what caused the collapse.
