China targets five drugs with annual global sales above $1 billion by 2030

China wants at least five of its innovative drugs to earn more than $1 billion each in global sales every year by 2030.

The country’s drug companies are gaining attention around the world, but no Chinese drug has yet matched the sales of the biggest Western blockbusters.

Analysts say China’s target may be within reach.
