Benq Screenbar Max lights two monitors but costs €269
Benq has introduced the Screenbar Max, a lamp designed to light a desk with two monitors.
Earlier Benq Screenbar models attach to a single monitor, so a two-screen setup can need two lamps.
The Max instead clamps to the desk behind the screens and extends over both.
Its 85-centimetre lamp head is made of aluminium, and the test found the build sturdy.
The height can be set to one of three levels, and the clamp fits desks up to 6 centimetres thick.
Benq says a separate stand is recommended for glass desks.
The lamp costs €269, and the test compares that price with buying two lamps from the company’s Halo 2 range.
Benq’s Screenbar Max is designed to illuminate two monitors at once.
Unlike the company’s earlier monitor-mounted lights, it clamps to the desk behind the screens and extends over both.
The lamp costs €269 at Amazon.
Its 85-centimetre lamp head is made of brushed aluminium, and the assembled lamp weighs about 2.7 kilograms without its power supply and cable.
It can be mounted on desk tops up to 6 centimetres thick.
