Pelicans Sign Forward Jalon Moore After Achilles Injury Recovery
The New Orleans Pelicans have signed 23-year-old forward Jalon Moore.
Moore played college basketball at Georgia Tech and Oklahoma before going undrafted in 2025.
He was considered a possible second-round pick, but tore his Achilles during a pre-draft workout with San Antonio and missed all of last season.
The Pelicans signed and waived him in September 2025 to secure his G League rights, with plans to keep him in their system.
Moore returned to play in July, appearing in three Summer League games for New Orleans in Las Vegas.
The Pelicans waived big man Christian Koloko to make room for Moore, bringing the team back to the preseason limit of 21 players under contract.
His new deal is likely an Exhibit 10 contract, which could allow him to earn a bonus if he is waived and spends at least 60 days with the Pelicans’ G League affiliate.
