Swiss voters asked to take part in poll on four November ballot issues

Swiss voters will decide on four federal proposals on 29 November 2026.

A poll conducted online by GFS Bern for SRG is asking people how they plan to vote.

One proposal would raise value-added tax rates to help fund the 13th AHV pension, while leaving the reduced rate for everyday goods unchanged.

Another would ban the sale and use of fireworks that make noise, with possible exceptions for major events.

A third would change federal tax rules to address the so-called marriage penalty while keeping joint tax assessments for married couples.

The fourth would ease rules on exporting and re-exporting weapons, a change prompted by requests from EU countries seeking to pass on Swiss arms during Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

Participation in the poll is anonymous, and its results are due to be published on 23 October.
