Hong Kong’s Bar Leone tops 2026 list of the world’s best bars
Bar Leone in Hong Kong was named the world’s best bar in The 50 Bars ranking for 2026, repeating its 2025 result.
The bar, in the city’s Central district, opened in June 2023 and is known for classic Italian cocktails and a simple approach.
The ranking was announced in Milan.
Spain had three bars in the top 50: Sips in 16th place, Paradiso in 17th, and Madrid’s Angelita in 50th place for the first time.
Three other Spanish bars appeared in the extended list, which covers places 51 to 100.
The ranking reflects a wider shift in bars toward seasonal ingredients, creative drink-making and, in some cases, food served alongside cocktails.
