Houthi attack on Riyadh airport kills 12 and injures 309

A Houthi attack struck King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, killing 12 people and injuring 309.

The Houthi movement is based in Yemen.

Indonesia’s embassy in Riyadh urged Indonesians in Saudi Arabia to stay alert and avoid non-essential trips to the airport.

Embassies from the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Spain and the United States also advised their citizens to stay away and follow local security instructions.

Saudi authorities temporarily halted airport operations after the attack.

The deaths included people from several countries, among them Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh.

US President Donald Trump said he would consider whether the United States would join Saudi attacks on the Houthis.

The sources do not say when airport operations will resume or what decision Trump will make.
