Indonesia Expands Share Ownership Monitoring to Stocks Worth Over Rp5 Trillion

Indonesia’s stock exchange and central securities depository have expanded the ownership information available for listed companies.

The data now covers 39 investor classifications and types, with additional details showing local and foreign ownership.

The two institutions have also widened their reviews of high shareholding concentration to include stocks with market values above Rp5 trillion, down from the previous threshold of more than Rp10 trillion.

These reviews use a price impact ratio.

The changes are intended to give investors a clearer view of who owns shares and where ownership is concentrated.

The institutions say this can help investors make decisions and support confidence in Indonesia’s capital market.

The ownership data is published on the stock exchange website each month on the second day of the following month.
