Shai Hope warns West Indies pay cuts could deter young players

Cricket West Indies has cut international player fees by 25% as it deals with financial problems.

Shai Hope said lower pay could put off young players who spend years training and need to support their families.

He said players also have to think about their long-term interests.

The issue matters because financial pressures have led some West Indies players to focus on franchise leagues instead.
