Lucinda Light and Andrea Thompson will not return to Travel Guides in 2027
Lucinda Light and Andrea Thompson will not return to Channel Nine’s Australian travel show Travel Guides in 2027.
The former Married at First Sight stars appeared together on the 2026 season, travelling around Ireland.
Nine’s line-up for the coming year leaves them out as the network brings in new celebrity faces.
The show is known for its travellers’ spontaneous reactions, humour and interactions.
A production source suggested the women’s on-screen dynamic may not have suited that style, but Nine has not confirmed a reason for the decision.
Their popularity on Married at First Sight does not guarantee a continuing role on a different kind of show.
The article also says Love Island stars Callum Hole and Mitch Hibberd will return to Travel Guides.

Channel Nine has chosen to introduce new celebrity faces rather than bring them back.

This story does not have two clearly opposing sides.
Travel Guides is all about natural chemistry, spontaneous humour and people being able to laugh at themselves.
Producers need personalities who aren't afraid to get uncomfortable, poke fun at each other and react in the moment. That's what makes the show work.
At the end of the day, it's not about whether Lucinda and Andrea are likeable. It's about whether the dynamic works across an entire season, rather than just a special appearance.
