Smart #2 electric two-seater opens orders from €19,990
Smart is bringing back its small electric two-seater, the Smart #2, and will begin taking orders on October 13, 2026.
The order start was brought forward from the second quarter of 2027, but the car is expected on German roads from mid-2027.
The starting price in Germany is €19,990, and buyers can choose from three main versions and a limited Couture Edition.
Even the entry-level Pure includes driver-assistance features and a function that can power compatible external devices.
Higher versions add features such as 11-kW AC charging, a heated driver's seat, a glass roof and a Sennheiser sound system.
Smart says the car has a turning circle of 6.95 metres and a combined range of up to 290 km under the WLTP test standard.
It can charge at up to 65 kW using DC fast charging.
A full online sales launch is planned for the first half of 2027, with the car arriving on German roads from mid-year.
