Russian state pensions are set for two increases in 2027

Russian pensioners, including people living in Sevastopol, are set to receive two increases to their insurance pensions in 2027.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said the increases are included in the Social Fund’s budget.

The first is planned for 1 February and is expected to match 2026 inflation, provisionally forecast at 6.8%.

The second is planned for 1 April and is expected to reflect growth in the wage fund, provisionally estimated at 3.3%.

The final rates will depend on economic results for the year.

The two-step increase would restore a practice last used in 2019, according to the report.

What people are saying
