Oppo schedules global ColorOS 17 rollout from October 21

Oppo’s ColorOS 17 global rollout begins October 21, alongside the launch of the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max, which will come with the new software.

Updates for older models start October 29 and 30, including phones in the Find X9, X8, Reno16 and N series.

Oppo plans to add Reno15 and Reno14 phones, as well as F and K models, in November, with more phones and some tablets to follow.

The rollout is expected to continue through the first three months of 2027.

ColorOS 17 changes the interface and includes software improvements that Oppo says reduce rendering load by 25% and RAM use by 30%.

New AI tools can organize files and turn documents or video links into searchable information, and can help create trip plans.

Oppo says its encrypted private cloud protects data, while an on-device tool can detect AI face swaps and synthetic voices during calls.
