Teen arrested after woman struck by car near Melbourne marathon route
A 16-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly driving a stolen car through central Melbourne on Sunday morning.
The car struck a woman in her 50s near Flinders Street Station, as the Melbourne Marathon was underway nearby.
Police said the vehicle had allegedly been stolen from a business in Cranbourne South at about 2am.
The woman was taken to hospital with upper-body injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police arrested the boy on Beaconsfield Parade in Albert Park.
Investigators have ruled out terrorism and a targeted attack.
Police said the boy would soon be interviewed.
