Seven South Korean Startups Report $15.6 Million in China Business Talks

Seven companies based at a startup park in Cheonan, South Korea, took part in a business event in Shenzhen, China.

They held more than 100 export talks with local buyers and signed 12 memorandums of understanding, or MoUs.

The combined value of the talks and cooperation was reported as $15.6 million, but that figure is not the value of completed export contracts.

One company offering solar power solutions signed a $7 million technology MoU with a local firm.

The two firms plan to discuss specific cooperation in follow-up talks.

The event aimed to help Korean and Chinese businesses explore trade and other partnerships.

The Chungnam Content Agency says it will track follow-up cooperation and help the participating companies connect with overseas buyers.
