Canton Fair adds more than 50 measures to improve services

The 140th Canton Fair will take place in Guangzhou, China, from October 15 to November 4, in three phases.

Organizers have introduced more than 50 measures intended to improve services for exhibitors and buyers.

New digital tools include AI features and navigation that can guide visitors to more than 75,000 booths, with accuracy of up to one metre.

Buyers and exhibitors can exchange digital business cards, while AI can prepare meeting summaries and help sort customer information.

Buyers from outside China can collect their credentials at 70 locations, including the airport, train stations, the exhibition venue and selected hotels.

Guangzhou will add dedicated metro schedules, support international bank cards at about 9,000 metro gates, and run a driverless bus route linking the venue with nearby hotels and stations.

Customs measures will also support exhibition goods and some export and tax-refund services during the fair.
