Grant Morrison to write a new James Bond comic series for IDW
IDW Publishing has secured the rights to publish new James Bond comics and will launch the series with writer Grant Morrison.
The announcement came at New York Comic Con.
The first story is called Sunbreaker and will run for six parts.
Morrison says it will bring Bond into a world resembling our own, with intrigue, violence and deception.
The story will feature new cars and gadgets, unfamiliar foes and a dangerous new villain.
Bond is a British spy created by Ian Fleming, and his comic adventures have previously been published by other companies, most recently Dynamite Entertainment.
IDW says the series begins a collaboration with Ian Fleming Publications, but a release date and artist have not been announced.
