Bahçeli says Turkey’s ‘Terror-Free Türkiye’ process is now state policy

Devlet Bahçeli, leader of Turkey’s Nationalist Movement Party, spoke at an opening ceremony for his party’s political school.

He said the “Terror-Free Türkiye” process had become state policy and would not be reversed.

Bahçeli said the work would continue through the executive, parliament and courts.

He added that some institutions still needed to be set up under the law and begin operating.

He urged people to avoid statements that could deepen divisions or lead to conflict.

On a separate fund investigation, he said people should not be accused before the judicial process is complete, though any crime should be dealt with.

The article also reports increased tourism in Diyarbakır, where a local tourism group expects visitor numbers to reach 1.5 million by year’s end.
